CASSANDRA J. GEORGES, ESQUIRE
As of August 31, 2007, Cassandra J. Georges, Esq. ended her one-year ADR mentorship with our offices. Ms. Georges was the first recipient of the inaugural Dispute Resolution Fellowship that was created and implemented by Robert A. Creo’s ADR entity, Impartial Dispute Resolution Services.
The Fellowship is a one-year practicum in ADR modeled after a medical internship or residency program. It was inspired by the remarks of Professor Frank E.A. Sander at the wonderful Fireside Chat that Fellow Jeff Kichaven moderated at the April 2006 IAM conference at Harvard. This mentorship program provides a monthly stipend to the Fellow and payment of dues to various ADR organizations and attendance at conferences.
Cassandra Georges, a Philadelphia native, is a 2005 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Law School and Penn’s undergraduate program in 2001. While at Penn, she developed an interest in mediation and engaged in several clinics and other training programs. On September 1, 2006, she started her 12-month Fellowship in Mr. Creo’s Pittsburgh office. Among other things, she attended Mr. Creo’s mediation and arbitration cases, observed training sessions, and assisted in the preparation and coordination of mediation cases.
We thank you for welcoming Cassandra to participate as an observer to Mr. Creo’s mediation sessions, arbitration hearings and providing sponsorships to numerous conferences for the past year. We are extremely thankful for your professional guidance and cooperation.
