“I liked his straightforward ability to show me the errors in my own though processes about settlement. I had my doubts that mediation would be successful, but Mr. Creo showed me that the parties weren’t as far apart as I thought. Clients were very pleased…felt that they were able to resolve a lot of their personal conflicts thru the intimate procedures.”

“I’m not sure I was quite assertive or eloquent enough in my appreciation of your work in my daughter’s mediation yesterday. Thank you for helping [us] to see past our own emotions at the practicality of the situation. It wasn’t easy, and it still isn’t. Your reputation, from my viewpoint, is well deserved. Sincere thanks again for your part in helping all of us to find closure in this situation.”

"Bob did a great job with the mediation. He is very effective at knowing when to get involved, and when it is prudent to back off and allow the parties to address each other individually. He is not confrontational and knows how to bring the parties together if settlement is a realistic option. I also like the fact that when settlement is not likely to occur, Bob saves everyone time and effort by not trying to "force" a resolution when it just isn't going to happen. Bob is a top drawer mediator--thanks."

A claim against a hospital and physicians involving the death of a young mother following childbirth was mediated successfully in August of 2004. Here is what counsel involved in the case had to say about Robert Creo and mediation: *Timothy McMahon, Esquire of Marshall, Dennehey, Warner, Coleman & Goggin Harrisburg, Pennsylvania said that he, "...welcomes the opportunity to work with you (Mr. Creo) again in mediation. It was truly a pleasure to have mediated this matter under your non-partisan direction." *****In July of 2004, Mr. Creo mediated a a difficult claim in Philadelphia that resulted in a settlement. Slade McLaughlin, Esquire of the The Beasley Firm in Philadelphia wrote to Mr. Creo, saying the following:
"I was extremely impressed with your tenacity, your knowledge of the intricacies of the Pennsylvania medical malpractice system, and your willingness to try innovative approaches to problems that are normally resolved only through the often onerous process of trial."
*****
Tim McCann, Esquire of McCann & Geschke, P.C. in Philadelphia, had the following to say in 2004:
"I have been through several mediations with Bob, and we have never failed to get a case settled. Bob has a thoughtful and unique approach to mediation. He has no allegiance to anything but the deal, and he is tireless in working for the deal. Bob never loses sight of the fact that it is not his deal, but the parties' deal, and he very effectively lets the parties come together on their own terms. He likes to tell me that he always wants to be transparent, which I finally understand that to mean that he tells you what he is going to do and he always does it. The more you get to know him, the more you trust him."
*****A mediation in October, 2004 led to one of the Doctors involved in the case having this to say about his experience with Mr. Creo in mediation:
"It is important to note that no one in this mediation, except the released defendant, was overjoyed with the outcome. Plaintiffs felt that they needed more money; the defendant group felt that too much had been offered, and each individual defendant felt that he had been overly apportioned. Everyone was, however, very satisfied that a reasonable compromise had been reached, that the uncertainties of trial were avoided, and that the issue had finally been put to rest.
This outcome would not have been possible without the skills of the mediator. Mr. Creo approached the problems methodically, without apparent bias, calmly, patiently, and, above all, with a constant smile. He showed care and concern for all parties and for all points of view.
In medical situations wherein damages have occurred and there were opportunities for physicians, hospitals, nurses, or other caregivers to prevent those damages, mediation under the direction of a skilled mediator, such as Mr. Creo, is clearly superior to the uncertainties of a jury trial in the threatening environment of a courtroom."

"Mr. Creo did a fine job in the mediation in which I represented the defendant in a fairly complicated and particularly technical commercial litigation matter. As mediator, Mr. Creo worked hard and diligently to identify a basis for settlement, even after counsel for plaintiff and counsel for defendant were satisfied that impasse had been reached. The case settled thanks to Mr. Creo's refusal to acknowledge impasse."
